Heavy metals are metal elements with a specific gravity of more than 5g/ml and have the highest molecular weight. This article aims to identify the types of hyperaccumulator plants and analyze how heavy metal absorption and accumulation by plants in the soil work. The method used in this article is the library research method, a research approach carried out by reviewing various relevant library sources to obtain the required data and information. The results of the study indicate that hyperaccumulator plants can handle heavy metal pollution in the soil through the phytoremediation process, through the process of absorption, accumulation, and translocation of heavy metals from the soil to plant tissue. This study concludes that several hyperaccumulator plants are an alternative solution for rehabilitating soil contaminated with heavy metals at a low cost, environmentally friendly, and sustainable.</p> 2024-11-30T00:00:00+08:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement##
