This needs attention because from the physical conditions observed, the Brantas River is suspected to have been polluted due to waste discharges from households and Syaiful Anwar Hospital. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze pollution parameters to determine the quality of the Brantas River. This research consists of two stages, namely field and laboratory activities. Field activities are the sampling stage and laboratory activities are the sample parameter analysis stage. The analysis results show that the pH of the water body is 7.3; temperature is 27 oC; alkalinity/acidity is 64.3 ppm; hardness is 11 oD; turbidity is 006 NTU; TSS is 40 ppm; TDS is 140 ppm; DO is 12.3 mg/L; BOD is 95%; COD is 88 mg/L; and dissolved CO2 content is 74.8 mg/L. &nbsp;Based on these data, it can be concluded that the Brantas River is included in class 3 of water quality with a moderate pollution category according to Government Regulation Number 22 of 2021.</h3> Ferry Budi Prasetya Yeyek IhdalUmam Ratno Budiyanto ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2023-07-18 2023-07-18 7 1 8 13 10.51673/evolusi.v7i1.1685 Uji Kadar Hambat Minimum Ekstrak Etanol Buah Asam Jawa (Tamarindus indica L.) Muda Pada Bakteri Staphylococcus aureus Penyebab Diare https://ejournal.unwmataram.ac.id/evos/article/view/1645 <p>Tamarind (Tamarindus indica L.) can cure various diseases, one of which is diarrheal disease caused by Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. Tamarind fruit contains tannin compounds that have antibacterial abilities. This study aims to determine the inhibitory power of ethanol extract of&nbsp;young tamarind fruit against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria that cause diarrhea. The concentrations used in this study were 10%, 25%, 45%, 75% and 100%. The method used is the well diffusion method with 4 treatments and 4 repeats. The results showed that ethanol extracts of tamarind fruit young proved to be able to suppress the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria with the highest inhibitory zone of 19.85 mm. One of them is Fusarium sp. which resulted in damage reaching more than 50-75%. The aim of this study was to determine the virulence level of the fungus Fusrium.solani.f.sp.cepae that causes fusrium wilt in shallot plants. The method used is an experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD) with two treatments: method of application and time of observation/measurement. The average incubation period of fusarium wilt disease on shallots without F.solani.f.sp.cepae treatment had no symptoms of attack, while those that were treated showed symptoms in a short time. The results showed that the pathogen F.solani.f.sp.cepae was able to attack plants with an average attack intensity of 4.22, meaning high attack intensity. Macroscopically identification of fungi that had grown on potato dextrose agar (PDA) medium was observed, observations starting from the shape of the mushroom colonies and the color of the underside of the mushroom colonies, while microscopically found insulating hyphae, forming branching and found macroconidia and microconidia spores.</p> Irna Il Sanuriza Eti Kusumawati Irfan Jayadi Dwi Kartika Risfianty Khaerul Ihwan Baiq Naili Dewi Atika Pahmi Husain ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2023-07-10 2023-07-10 7 1 18 23 10.51673/evolusi.v7i1.1653 Studi Perilaku Harian Rusa Timor (Cervus timorensis) di Kawasan Savana Bekol Taman Nasional Baluran Situbondo https://ejournal.unwmataram.ac.id/evos/article/view/1654 <p><em>Baluran National Park is a conservation area with a climate and geography that supports the formation of dry savanna on the island of Java, so it is also known as "Little Africa in Java". Cassava pulp has a high carbohydrate content, so its starch compounds can be extracted as biodegradable plastics. The polymerization process of cassava cassava starch as a biodegradable plastic can be assisted by the addition of acetic acid. The synthesis of biodegradable plastic from cassava cassava starch was carried out through four stages, starch extraction from cassava pulp, biodegradable plastic manufacture, mechanical tests in the form of elongation and tensile strength, and biodegradation tests with Aspergillus niger. The method used in this study was starch blending with the addition of 0.5 acetic acid; 1.0; and 1.5 mL using a glycerol plasticizer. The results showed that acetic acid was able to improve the mechanical properties without decreasing the plastic degradation time. The highest tensile strength value was produced by the 1.5 mL acetic acid formulation, which was 55.42 MPa, while the largest elongation was in the 1 mL acetic acid formulation, which was 105.0%.</em></p> Ach.
