Abstract

This research aims to determine the length and diameter of eggs from purebred chickens fed commercial concentrates and minerals and was carried out for 3 months in Asmalang Village, Kalijaga Tengah, Aikmel District, East Lombok. The research used 40 laying hens of the Hybrid 909 strain, 40 of which were 1 year old and had been producing eggs for 10 months, then divided into 2 groups, namely P0 and P1. P0 was given feed made from ground corn, Sreeya Concentrate and Eka Farma Mineral B12, while P1 was given ground corn feed, Sreeya Concentrate and without Eka Farma Mineral B12. The research method consists of 2 stages, namely the preparation stage by preparing tools and materials, and the research stage, namely testing the length, diameter and index of the eggs by measuring each egg produced every week for 1 month. The variables observed in the research were the length, diameter and index of purebred chicken eggs. The primary data obtained were analyzed descriptively using the t test-2 independent samples. The results of the research showed that feeding ground corn, Sreeya Concentrate and Mineral B12 did not have a significant effect on the length and diameter of purebred chicken eggs, but had a significant effect on the egg shape index.
