THE INFLUENCE OF REPETITION DRILL METHOD ON STUDENT’S PRONUNCIATION ABILITY AT THE VIII GRADE OF MTs DARUL HIKMAH AZ-ZIKRI NW PRINGGARATA
Abstract
This study investigates the effect of the Repetition Drill method on students' pronunciation ability in English at MTs Darul Hikmah Az-Zikri NW Pringgarata. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test assessments. Students in the experimental class received treatment using the Repetition Drill method, while the control class received conventional instruction. The results showed a significant improvement in pronunciation scores for the experimental class compared to the control class. The study concludes that the Repetition Drill method is an effective tool for enhancing students' pronunciation skills and recommends its integration into English language teaching practices. However, challenges remain in optimizing its implementation within existing curriculum constraints.
