IMPLEMENTASI MODERASI ISLAM UPAYA PREVENTIF TERHADAP PERILAKU EKSTREMISME DAN TERORISME DI INDONESIA

Abstract

This article wants to explain that Islamic moderation is one of the preventive efforts to prevent the emergence of extreme behavior in religion which can have implications for acts of radicalism and even terrorism which directly or indirectly have justified violence in the name of Islam. This research is included in the category of library research (library research) by using data analysis with data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are that the behavior of radical extremism and terrorism can lead to attitudes of hatred, discrimination against Islam and Muslims which is often referred to as phobia. Therefore, in order to create a friendly and gracious Islam, every individual Muslim should apply the principles of moderation in the life of the nation and state.
