Abstrak

This Qur'an reading and tajwid art coaching and mentoring activity aims to introduce the art of reciting or reading the Qur'an based on song standards and tajwid science rules, as well as instilling a love for the Qur'an. Participants in this mentoring and coaching activity are students at TPQ Alif Bata, Aik are hamlet, Central Lombok. This coaching and mentoring is attempted as a step in providing knowledge about Islamic art and culture in this case, Qur'an recitation. This effort is considered very necessary to be carried out continuously so that children gain new knowledge and experience so that children's enthusiasm for learning to recite the Qur'an increases. The teaching materials for Qur'an recitation are also not too broad in scope, only that they are heavy and require full concentration when practicing each song. The Qur'an reading and tajwid art coaching and mentoring program is carried out using lecture, demonstration and practice methods accompanied by questions and answers. The lecture method is used to explain the basic concepts of Qur'an recitation and various songs. The demonstration method is used for an effective learning framework. The training method is used to provide the widest possible opportunity for students to learn Tilawatil Qur'an. Then the question and answer method is carried out as feedback on the mastery of Tilawatil Qur'an teaching materials. The Faculty of Islamic Studies, UNW Mataram as a religious institution pays full attention to the growth and development of Islamic arts for future generations. Moreover, today the existence of the millennial generation of the people is faced with various technological media which of course will have a fatal impact if left alone without any tools in the form of skills to complement the knowledge they have. Funding to launch this activity is supported by the DIPA of the Faculty of Islamic Studies. The obstacles faced in the teaching and learning process were found that some students did not concentrate because they were sleepy, playing and slow understanding. The benefits that participants can get from this mentoring activity are being able to master and practice Tilawatil Qur'an songs to be developed as knowledge and skills independently.
